The seventh Championship Dynasty Rookie Draft is in the books. A class loaded with WR & QB talent and featuring intriguing options across the board, the managers of the league have all walked away with new additions to their roster

We have graded all 12 draft classes to identify the direction each manager took, and whether their risks are likely to pay off this season and beyond.

jackmeenan

Picks

Marvin Harrison, WR, ARI - 1.01

Ricky Pearsall, WR, SF - 2.01 Jermaine Burton, WR, CIN - 3.01

Jackmeenan held true and didn't move off their 1.01 spot, taking the best WR prospect in years. Their roster is thin, but you can never fault a manager for picking up a star. Jackmeenan stuck to draft capital for their other WRs, taking another first round receiver in Pearsall and a third rounder in Burton. With RB stars already on their team, this draft class could prove to be a cornerstone for jackmeenan's dynasty team at the WR position.

Perhaps some trades down could have helped their roster in a deep class, but the picks are more than solid.

Draft Grade: A-

HChishty

Picks

Malik Nabers, WR, NYG - 1.02

Jayden Daniels, QB, WAS - 1.11 Ben Sinnott, TE, WAS - 2.12

Roman Wilson, WR, PIT - 3.02

HChishty was a balance of aggressive and value-driven in their second Championship Dynasty draft. Daniels and Sinnott could be considered slight reaches, but are easily the 2 at their position in this draft and both are a need for the manager. Wilson provides good opportunity for a FLEX option, and Nabers is a clear WR1 prospect for a team that needs youth at the position.

Draft Grade: B+

MQNKEYMATT

Picks

Rome Odunze, WR, CHI - 1.03

Ja'Lynn Polk, WR, NE - 2.08 MarShawn Lloyd, RB, GB - 3.03 Javon Baker, WR, NE - 3.04

Possibly my favourite draft class, MQNKEYMATT was able to pick a number of good prospects with relatively little draft capital. Odunze is a possibility for perennial WR1 with Caleb in town in Chicago, Polk could slot in as New England's WR1 this year, Baker has oppoortunity in that same uncertain WR room and Lloyd was the fourth RB drafted with good upside. The only downside is that with Chase and Jefferson already on the roster and needs at RB and TE, MQNKEYMATT may be doubling down on a position they are already strong at.

Draft Grade: A-

RobbieK

Picks

Brock Bowers, TE, LV - 1.04

Trey Benson, RB, ARI - 1.12

Drake Maye, QB, NE - 2.07

Bo Nix, QB, DEN - 3.12

Despite picking two first round TEs last year, RobbieK couldn't pass up Bowers at 1.04, and may even hope he and Kincaid can both start at TE and FLEX. They traded up from 2.04 (Legette) to draft Benson, who is one 29 year old James Conner away from starting in Arizona. Maye was taken 8 spots after the last QB and was still the 1.03, with running ability to boost fantasy stats. Bo Nix at 3.12 is great value for an immediate starting NFL QB, and good insurance in case Maye doesn't pan out.

Factoring in the acquisition of Saquon and a 2nd next year, this is a strong class from a manager who is peeking into the playoffs - although it is a lot of investment into non-premium fantasy positions.

Draft Grade: A

bdawg

Picks

Xavier Worthy, WR, KC - 1.05

Jaylen Wright, RB, MIA - 2.05 Luke McCaffrey, WR, WAS - 3.05

Picking the latest they ever have in a rookie draft, bdawg added complements to their improving roster. Worthy is a high upside pick with immediate opportunity in KC, and Wright is a smart addition to a manager who already holds Achane. McCaffrey has natural upside due to his genes, definitely worth a third round pick. Bdawg addressed their premier need and made smart picks, and you can't ask for more than that.

Draft Grade: A

Scuba_Eli

Picks

Caleb Williams, QB, CHI - 1.06

Adonai Mitchell, WR, IND - 2.06 Braelon Allen, RB, NYJ - 3.06

The first time Scuba_Eli has picked in a non-playoff spot, they enjoyed access to some of the better rookie players than normal. Despite picking up Puka last year, they have a number of aging players on their roster that need replaced. Despite holding Mahomes, Scuba_Eli picked up Caleb at 1.06, immediately becoming one of the better QB2 options. AD Mitchell was a steal at 2.06, coming off plenty of pre-draft hype and perhaps slotting in for Hopkins or Diggs. Allen has a long way to go until they get to usable fantasy value with Breece ahead of them.

Overall, Scuba_Eli picked good players; but with a roster headlined by players on the wrong side of 30, you can't help but think some more investment at more premium positions could have paid off.

Draft Grade: B-

amccann

Picks

Brian Thomas Jr., WR, JAX - 1.07 Kimani Vidal, RB, LAC - 3.07

Another draft with just 2 picks after trading away their 2nd for Chris Godwin, amccann got a QB-WR stack with Thomas Jr. Pairing him with Lawrence, Thomas Jr. is a solid option in amccann's solid but unexciting WR room. Vidal was a low-drafted NFL back, but Troy's all time leading rusher has the production to back it up.

Perhaps Brooks at 1.07 and a WR at 3.07 may have fit their needs slightly better, but it would be hard to fault these picks.

Draft Grade: B+

leathershoe4

Picks

Jonathon Brooks, RB, CAR - 1.08

Troy Franklin, WR, DEN - 2.03 Jalen McMillan, WR, TB - 3.08

With a solid RB room already, leathershoe4 picked the first RB in the draft, trading away Saquon for the right to do so. Brooks looks to be an immediate contributor in Carolina (significant injuries notwithstanding) and leathershoe4 has both Sanders and Hubbard in the wings if he doesn't. Franklin - a fourth round NFL pick - at 2.03 is high, even with his pre-draft hype. McMillan at 3.08 is better 'value', actually being drafted higher than Franklin in the NFL.

Overall, leathershoe4 made bold moves in the draft that could either pay off and propel them further into the playoffs, or prove to be a totally dud year.

Draft Grade: B

ajcsmit

Picks

Keon Coleman, WR, BUF - 1.09

Ja'tavion Sanders, TE, CAR - 2.09 Brenden Rice, WR, LAC - 3.09

Ajcsmit took some swings in this draft - Coleman is a fair pick, being at the top of the third tier of WRs, and benefiting from recent personnel changes in Buffalo. With a thin WR room, investment at the position makes sense for them. Sanders and Rice were both relatively low-drafted NFL prospects - ajcsmit took Sanders over Sinnott, despite the latter being drafted much higher. Seven round draft picks don't exactly have a high hit rate, and despite his father Rice has a long way to go before he's an effective contributor.

Draft Grade: B-

Wham921

Picks

Ladd McConkey, WR, LAC - 1.10

Blake Corum, RB, LAR - 2.02

Malachi Corley, WR, NYJ - 2.10

With perhaps the strongest roster in the league, Wham921 could have gone many directions here that would make sense. McConkey could be an immediate contributor in LA - even if he's not a perennial WR1, a solid WR2 or FLEX would be helpful for their roster. Wham921 traded up for Corum despite him being firmly an RB2 on his team - perhaps they see him as potentially supplanting much of the work from Kyren. Corley was a highly drafted NFL prospect as a second rounder, good value at 2.10.

Draft Grade: B+

Xuande

Picks

J.J. McCarthy, QB, MIN - 2.11 Jacob Cowing, WR, SF - 3.11

Ray Davis, RB, BUF - 3.12

Having traded away their first round pick for Keenan Allen and Kareem Hunt, Xuande didn't have much to play with in the draft this year. Lacking a QB2, McCarthy was a smart pick to cover the weeks Josh Allen can't play. Cowing has a long way to go before getting meaningful snaps in SF with their receiving options but was still a fourth round pick, and Davis could carve out a goal-line and short yardage role in Buffalo.

Their picks all have upside despite, which is a good strategy for a team with only a few low picks.

Draft Grade: B+

AndyP

Picks

Xavier Legette, WR, CAR - 2.04

The current champion only had one pick in the draft and traded down from 1.12 to 2.04 - perhaps a strange move from a good team that needs stars more than depth.

Legette is a value pick at 2.04 - although he might not have the production of other WRs in the draft, he is still a first round NFL pick and was picked behind four other NFL prospects with worse draft capital. With their RB corps strong, Legette is a boom-or-bust addition to AndyP's aging WR group.
