With the fantasy season finished and the NFL heading to the playoffs, the world of Dynasty is looking towards the NFL Draft, and the Dynasty drafts that will follow. The 2022 Draft will be an exciting one for the Championship Dynasty league, headlined by the beginning of leathershoe4's rebuild. With no fewer than 4 first round picks, including the 1.01, leathershoe4 dictates much of the draft. Don't forget the other storylines of the draft - the top 2 finishers have both their picks to shore up their squad for another run and RB needy teams scramble to pick an impact player.
1.01 - leathershoe4
Breece Hall, RB, Iowa State
The first of leathershoe4's 4(!) first round picks to begin their rebuild, Breece Hall should be a cornerstone RB for years to come. RBs have historically gone high in the league - every year, at least 3 of the top 5 picks have been RBs. Breece Hall has a high chance of being the first RB drafted, and leathershoe4 will hope to lean on him for a quick turnaround.
1.02 - bdawg
Treylon Burks, WR, Arksanas
A darling of the fantasy community, Burks has the measurables that make a potential superstar. With few WRs of note, bdawg can take a shot at a hopeful top 10 dynasty WR to help generate value (and points) on their team.
1.03 - tburchfield
Garrett Wilson, WR, Ohio State
The rebuild is not quite complete - after starting a full rebuild a few years ago, tburchfield is on their way to contending with a great RB core. Wilson at WR could help push them over the top, and give them an every-week start at the position.
1.04 - superman14
Isaiah Spiller, RB, Texas A&M
With the #1 Dynasty WR asset, receiver shouldn't be on the cards for superman14. Instead, they can look to shore up a hopeful but risky RB room with Spiller, who may not blow the doors off, but could be a reliable RB2 in the right offense.
1.05 - leathershoe 4 via jerrr
Kenneth Walker, RB, Michigan State
With RB being such a key asset to successful Dynasty teams, leathershoe4 chooses to double-dip here. Walker lit it up at Michigan State this year, and leathershoe4 may hope for an offense to build themselves around Walker's running, and mitigate his lack of pass-catching.
1.06 - Xuande
Zach Charbonnet, RB, UCLA
Despite picking at 6, Xuande was extremely close to winning another Championship this year. With an excellent WR core, they choose to go RB here, moving away from their own aging RBs to draft Charbonnet, who only just turned 21.
1.07 - leathershoe4 via MQNKEYMATT
Drake London, WR, USC
Now RB is shored up with Hall and Walker, leathershoe4 looks to upgrade a WR core who only really has St. Brown as a solid asset. London looks like a potential Round 1 NFL WR, who leathershoe4 will hope will continue their early-season USC dominance at the NFL level.
1.08 - RobbieK
Kyren Williams, RB, Notre Dame
With the RBs drying up, RobbieK needs to upgrade their position here. Whiffing on multiple Round 1 RBs in recent years, RobbieK will hope that Williams will become reliable enough to push them further into the playoffs and be an every-week starter.
1.09 - leathershoe4 via ajcsmit
Chris Olave, WR, Ohio State
The last of the 4 picks, leathershoe4 caps off their 2022 Round 1 class with another WR to accompany London. Leathershoe4 will hope that Olave will continue his historic touchdown totals at Ohio State, and become a week-winning asset for fantasy.
1.10 - amccann
Jameson Williams, WR, Alabama
Despite his injury in the National Championship game, Williams may still be drafted very highly given NFL teams' penchant for speed. Amccann has a fair number of WR2s, but no superstars at the position. They will hope that Williams can push them that little bit further they need to win a Championship next year.
1.11 - Scuba_Eli
David Bell, WR, Purdue
A perennial contender, Scuba_Eli is close to the Championship every year. Their talent and depth is solid, so this year they choose to go with BPA, and select Bell out of Purdue. Moore and Diggs had disappointing years, so Scuba_Eli will hope that Bell can be at worst a good bye-week fill in, and hopefully an addition to a stellar squad.
1.12 - AndyP
Jahan Dotson, WR, Penn State
The defending champion unsurprisingly has few pressing needs. QB is somewhat unstable with Baker as the starter, but the better value here by far is Dotson. AndyP will hope that he can fill a FLEX spot, and he will be able to translate his route-running skills to become a reliable, volume NFL receiver.
