How do you build a Championship Team? Today, in the first of the Draft Retrospective series, we look at AndyP's draft picks over the past 4 years. Which players were hits, which were misses, and who might yet contribute to a future dynasty?

2018 Draft

1.04: Nick Chubb - Hit

A staple of AndyP's roster since the 2018 draft, Chubb has put up 3 RB1 seasons in the past 3 years, and was an every-week start (barring 2 games injured) for their 2021 Championship Team.

1.09: Sony Michel - Miss

Although Michel found value in 2021 after his trade to the Rams, Michel was a disappointment as a Round 1 NFL RB to AndyP's favourite team - made more bitter as the 2 picks after were Calvin Ridley and DJ Moore.

1.12: Baker Mayfield - Miss

Mayfield is a starting NFL QB (for now) but has not lived up to the 1.12. After a stellar rookie season, Mayfield has failed to crack the top 15 in any season since, with his worst season coming in 2021.

3.3: Dallas Goedert - Meh

Goedert has not been able to capitalise on the opportunity left by Zach Ertz, but for a 3rd round pick Goedert has been solid. A starter on AndyP's squad, Goedert's TE10 season in 2021 helped AndyP along the way to the championship.

2019 Draft

2.9: Damien Harris - Hit

AndyP shored up the Patriots' backfield in 2019, taking Harris to ensure they at least got the New England starter. For a 2nd round pick, Harris proved to be productive and reliable, especially in the run-first offenses in New England in the year to come.

3.9: Jalen Hurd - Miss

Even for one of the last picks of the draft, Hurd never lived up to the hype. Hurd had great upside, but never caught 1 ball in the NFL. Needless to say, AndyP moved on from this one, dropping Hurd in January 2022.

2020 Draft

1.6: Jerry Jeudy - Meh

The jury is still out on Jeudy - he has suffered from awful QB play, but has missed extensive time and has yet to be a starter on AndyP's squad. They will hope that future seasons will see the potential of Jeudy met.

2.6: Zack Moss - Miss

Moss has had game here and there, but as of the end of the 2021 season Moss wasn't even the RB2 on his own team. It's possible Moss finds production elsewhere, but has not been a reliable option for AndyP.

3.6: Darrynton Evans - Miss

It had looked like Evans could be the coveted Henry backup, but the success of both Foreman and Hilliard in 2021 scuppered that idea. Evans has yet to prove that he could be a viable fantasy option.

2021 Draft

1.3: Travis Etienne - ?

With the Lisfranc injury that took his rookie season, Etienne is still an unknown. With great potential due to speed and draft capital, Etienne could bolster an already stellar RB room for AndyP in 2022.

Summary

2 hits, 2 mehs, 6 misses, 1 ?
